Easy Shrimp and Sweet Corn Rice Bowl

  • 1 cup jasmine rice
  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 1/4 cup shallots
  • 1/2 cup sweet corn kernels
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp butter
  • salt & pepper


  1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then drain well.
  2. Add the rinsed rice, shrimp, shallots, sweet corn kernels, chicken broth, paprika, cayenne pepper (optional), and salt and pepper to the inner pot of your Aroma rice cooker.
  3. Close the lid and press Cook.
  4. Once the cooking cycle is complete, let the rice sit in Keep Warm mode for 5 minutes.
  5. Open the lid, gently fluff the rice, and mix the shrimp into the rice.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
