Conical Burr Coffee Grinder

Your AROMA® coffee maker is not designed to reheat cold coffee. We recommend reheating cold coffee by heating it up in a heat-safe mug in the microwave for 1-2 minutes. Do not pour cold coffee back through the coffee maker’s water tank as it will cause a blockage and damage the appliance.

To effectively clean your coffee maker, we recommend brewing several cups of diluted vinegar in the water reservoir without coffee grounds. Be sure the portafilter is still in place while brewing. After brewing with the vinegar solution, empty out the water reservoir and fill with the maximum amount of clean water. Brew a few cups (again, without coffee grounds) to purge the excess vinegar solution in the coffee maker, repeating this process until the brewed liquid no longer comprises of the vinegar solution.

Removable glass and stainless steel parts are top-rack dishwasher safe. Always check your product manual for detailed cleaning instructions and to determine specifically which parts are dishwasher safe.

We do not recommended brewing with finely ground coffee as the grinds may fall into the brewed coffee. However, if you wish to brew finely ground coffee, place a paper towel, napkin or coffee filter over the coffee basket before adding the coffee grounds then puncture a small hole through the middle for the stem to insert through.

Your product’s model number is a 6-7 character code in the format of XXX-XXXX and can be found on the manufacturer’s sticker on the back side or bottom of your appliance. Coffee maker model numbers will begin with “ACG” or ‘AEM” followed by a hyphen and 3-4 numbers and/or letters.

The problem is static electricity. When beans pass through the grinding mechanism, they pick up an electrical charge that causes the ground coffee to “jump” out of the grinder or stick stubbornly to the sides of the container that captures the ground coffee. To rid of the stuck grounds, simply rinse the lid or bean container in cold water prior to attempting the grinding process again.

The best way to keep ground coffee fresh is to store it on a pantry shelf in an opaque airtight container away from light, heat, and moisture.

Conical burr grinders have two cone shaped burrs with ridges that grind and crush the coffee beans. The grinder features one stationary burr while the motor turns the other. The beans are then drawn in between the two burrs and crushed into the chosen uniform size.

If desired, you may use your coffee grinder to finely chop nuts and seeds. However, we do not recommend doing so as this will likely greatly influence the flavor of your ground coffee.
