Ingredients

  • 3 slices of spam
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, sliced
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 package instant ramen noodles
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 green onion, chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat your Whatever Pot grill pan on high heat. Sear the slices of spam until they are browned and crispy, which should take approximately 3 minutes on each side.
  2. Once the spam slices are cooked to your liking, remove them from the grill pan. In the same pan, fry an egg sunny side up until the whites are set and the yolk is still runny.
  3. Switch out the grill pan for the stainless steel cooking pot in your Whatever Pot. Heat olive oil in the pot until it shimmers.
  4. Add the sliced garlic and tomato paste to the pot and sauté them until they become aromatic.
  5. Pour in the water and add the seasoning packet from the instant ramen. Bring the soup to a boil.
  6. Break the instant ramen noodles into the pot and cook for about 2 minutes or until they become softened.
  7. Stir in the spinach and cook for an additional 1 minute, or until the spinach has wilted into the soup.
  8. To serve, ladle the hot soup into bowls. Top each bowl with the seared spam slices, the sunny side up egg, and a sprinkle of chopped green onion.
  9. Enjoy your flavorful ramen soup with a delightful combination of textures and flavors!
