Ingredients

  • 4 cup French bread, cubed
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cup half and half
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 1/2 cups leftover cooked ham, cubed
  • 1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 tbsp butter, melt

Directions

  1. Preheat the roaster oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cubed French bread with melted butter. Toss until the bread is evenly coated.
  3. Spread the bread cubes in an even layer in a 3-Qt. casserole dish.
  4. In the same bowl, whisk eggs, cubed leftover ham, half and half, salt, onion powder, and garlic powder until well combined.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring an even distribution.
  6. Top with grated cheddar cheese and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the bread to absorb the egg mixture.
  7. Place casserole in the preheated roaster oven for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown, and the center is set.
  8. Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
