Maple Glazed Pork Belly

  • 2 lbs pork belly
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock
  • 1/4 maple syrup
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning


  1. Pat the pork belly dry with a paper towel then season with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Leave the seasoned pork belly in the refrigerator overnight.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine balsamic vinegar, chicken stock, maple syrup, garlic, olive oil and Italian seasoning.
  3. Using the Sauté-then-Simmer™ function, heat up the oil. Once the oil has preheated, add in the pork belly and cook until all sides are brown and crispy.
  4. Pour the balsamic vinegar mixture into the rice cooker and switch to the Slow Cook function. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours.
  5. When the pork belly is fully cooked, slice to your desired thickness and serve immediately.
