The Perfect Boiled Eggs

Ingredients

  • 1 dozen eggs
  • 2 cups water
  • bowl of iced water


Directions

Digital Rice Cooker (with Steam Tray)

  1. Add 2 cups of water to the inner pot.
  2. Place the desired amount of eggs into the steam tray, lower the steam tray into the inner pot then close the lid.
  3. Select the Steam function and set the steam time to: 8 minutes for SOFT boiled, 11 minutes for MEDIUM boiled, 13 minutes for HARD boiled.
  4. Once the time has elapsed, transfer the eggs immediately to a bowl of iced water to keep the eggs from cooking further.
  5. Allow the eggs to sit in the ice bath for 2-3 minutes then peel and enjoy!

  1. Add water to the inner pot: 3 tablespoons for SOFT boiled, 4 tablespoons for MEDIUM boiled, 6 tablespoons for HARD boiled.
  2. Place the desired amount of eggs into the inner pot then close the lid.
  3. Select the White Rice function and set a timer for: 8 minutes for SOFT boiled, 11 minutes for MEDIUM boiled, 13 minutes for HARD boiled.
  4. Once the time has elapsed, transfer the eggs immediately to a bowl of iced water to keep the eggs from cooking further.
  5. Allow the eggs to sit in the ice bath for 2-3 minutes then peel and enjoy!
