Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 can of 8 flaky layers biscuits
  • 5 tbsp butter, melted

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, use a fork to combine the sugar, cinnamon, and brown sugar, breaking up any large clumps of brown sugar. Set aside.
  2. Open the can of biscuits and separate them. Use a doughnut cutter or a similar tool to cut out holes in the center of the biscuits. Each hole should be roughly 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Place the doughnuts in the air fryer, 4 at a time. Set the air fryer to medium heat (MED) and the timer for 10 minutes.
  4. Close the lid and cook the doughnuts for about 8 minutes, then check for doneness.
  5. If the doughnuts are golden brown, turn off the timer and carefully remove them using a rubber spatula. If not done, cook for the remaining 2 minutes before removing.
  6. Repeat the cooking process for the remaining doughnuts.
  7. Place all the doughnut holes in the air fryer at once. Set the timer for 8 minutes and remove when done; check for doneness after 6 minutes.
  8. Brush the entire surface of the finished doughnuts with the melted butter.
  9. Immediately after brushing with butter, place the doughnuts and holes in the sugar mixture and coat them completely. Gently shake off any excess.
  10. Serve the warm, coated doughnuts, and enjoy!
