Ingredients

  • ½ stick of butter (divided equally)
  • 3 cups of peeled and sliced apples
  • ¼ cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • ½ box of cake mix
  • Ice cream or whipped cream (for topping)

Directions

  1. Preheat your rice cooker using the Sauté-then-Simmer (STS) mode.
  2. Melt half of the butter in the rice cooker pot.
  3. Stir in the sliced apples, sugar, and cinnamon, and cook until the apples are browned and softened.
  4. Turn off the rice cooker and evenly spread the cake mix over the cooked apples.
  5. Cube the remaining half of the butter and distribute it over the cake mix layer.
  6. Close the rice cooker lid and set it to the SLOW COOK setting for 2 hours.
  7. Once the cooking cycle is complete, carefully open the lid and serve the apple cobbler while it’s still hot.
  8. Serve the warm apple cobbler with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream on top for a delightful treat.
