Ingredients

  • ½ stick butter, divided equally
  • 3 cups apple, peeled and sliced
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ box cake mix
  • ice cream or whipped cream for topping

Directions

  1. Preheat your rice cooker using the Sauté-then-Simmer (STS) mode.
  2. Melt half the butter, then stir in apple, sugar, and cinnamon, cooking until apples are browned and soft.
  3. Turn off your rice cooker and pour cake mix over the apples.
  4. Cube the remaining butter and layer on top.
  5. Close the lid and turn on the SLOW COOK setting for 2 hours.
  6. Serve hot with ice cream or whipped cream.
