- 1 bottle any dry red wine
- 2 oranges
- 2 apples, sliced
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 12 whole cloves
- 1 star anise
- ½ cup honey
- Peel the orange and juice it thoroughly. Set the peels aside for later.
- Combine all ingredients in the kettle, then power the kettle on. Bring the mixture to a steady boil.
- Let the wine sit for about 30 minutes then bring to a boil once more.
- Serve while hot and with orange peels and extra cinnamon sticks if desired.
