Ingredients

  • 1 bottle any dry red wine
  • 2 oranges
  • 2 apples, sliced
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 12 whole cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • ½ cup honey

Directions

  1. Peel the orange and juice it thoroughly. Set the peels aside for later.
  2. Combine all ingredients in the kettle, then power the kettle on. Bring the mixture to a steady boil.
  3. Let the wine sit for about 30 minutes then bring to a boil once more.
  4. Serve while hot and with orange peels and extra cinnamon sticks if desired.
